The Director can be the M.C. for the Opening and Closing Assembly each day. Be fun and energetic and your enthusiasm will engage the children!
MUSIC
Play the theme song Come Live in Me or any other song from Day 1 or Day 2. Play the Action Song video. Ask all the leaders to participate, too.
OPENING PRAYER
In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Jesus, thank you for uniting us through the celebration of Your Holy Mass. Help us to work together to build unity in our community. Be with us as we celebrate this great day at our Cat.Chat VBS. Amen.
SAINT OF THE DAY
Let us ask our VBS Saint of the Day (St. Patrick) to pray for us. St. Patrick, pray for us.
Let us pray:
Our Father, Who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

THEME OF THE DAY
Show a helium balloon and blow in a party horn. Who can tell me what I am holding? When or where do we use these things? (at parties or celebrations) Who here likes to celebrate? Theme: The Mass is a CELEBRATION that unites us with Jesus and one another. As Catholics, it is important to fully participate in this Eucharistic celebration knowing why and how we celebrate.

DISMISSAL TO STATIONS
Dismiss the children to their groups. The group leaders will lead the children to their appropriate stations. Play the VBS music as kids are leaving.
