We challenge you to memorize this Bible Verse of the Day: Luke 1:42
Read the Saint story with your child and have them color the picture below
St. Thérèse of Lisieux
Thérèse Martin was a young girl just about your age who really tried hard to keep her heart pure for Jesus.
She wanted to become a Saint. She tried keeping her whole body pure & holy for God.
She would use kind words with others and tried not to complain. She would pray everyday to love God more and more.
Everything she did, she did for love of God. (Even the little things like scrubbing the floors, cooking, cleaning and sewing).
Now, St. Thérèse is in heaven with Jesus and Mary, all the Angels and Saints and many others who loved God with their whole heart.
We can pray to St. Thérèse to help us to become a Saint just as she was.
St. Thérèse, Pray for us.
Connection Question: Can you think of things that we can do to keep our heart, mind and body pure and holy?
Examples: Be like Jesus and Mary, speak kind words, be respectful, read good books including the Bible, think good thoughts, spend time each day in prayer,
Closing Prayer
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Mary, thank you for being a shining example of purity and holiness.
Pray for me that I may be more like your son, Jesus. Amen.
